This secretaire is from the well-known birch series. The birch series of Cees Braakman is becoming increasingly popular in Europe nowadays. Cees Braakman was inspired by the works and techniques of Charles and Ray Eames and used this to create the beautiful bentwood legs which the series is known for.
The secretaire has two shelves and a storage compartment. When the door of the storage compartment is down, it can be used as a desk. This minimal secretaire from the 1950s is a fine example of Mid-Century, Dutch design and will be a beautiful addition to every home or office.
